Welcome to The World of SBIRT!

earthThis blog is developed by the UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse Programs and the Pacific Southwest Addiction Technology Transfer Center. We are delighted that you have decided to join us in exploring the ever evolving world of SBIRT, which stands for Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment.

Over the years, we have provided SBIRT-related training to professionals in a variety of settings. Our goal in creating this site is to highlight some of the training resources that may meet differing needs. And, perhaps most importantly, to help foster a sense of community and robust discussion so that learning does not end when a training session has been completed.

We understand the range of questions and concerns that can arise regarding this topic. We hope that you will use this forum to share your experiences and raise thoughtful inquiries to further the substance use disorder field.
