CDC releases step-by-step guide to alcohol SBIRT implementation in primary care 
Research shows that alcohol screening and brief interventions can reduce excessive drinking by up to 25%. But a recent study showed that only 1 in 6 people reported ever talking with a health professional about their alcohol use. With this new guide, the CDC is working to make alcohol screening and brief intervention a routine part of health care. The guide is designed to help an individual or small planning team adapt screening and brief interventions to the unique operational realities of their primary care practice. Read more
